Nigerians call for the sack of Godwin Emefiele, Kemi Adeosun over naira crisis
Nigerians have called on acting
president, Yemi Osinbajo, to sack the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, and
the minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun, for failing to fix the worrisome
 state of foreign exchange rate.

Some
Nigerians have accused the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele and the
minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun, of handling the naira poorly.
Those
demanding the sack of Godwin Emefiele and Mrs Kemi Adeosun, asked
Osinbajo to act immediately to save the naira from further losing its
value.
The group made the demand in reaction to the call by state governors on the Godwin Emefiele to do something immediately to reduce the gap bet
The
governors made the call at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting
in Abuja on Thursday, February 16, which was presided over by acting
president, Yemi Osinbajo.
The woes of the naira dipped
further to a new record low at parallel market as it now trades at N516
per United States dollar on Thursday, February 16.
Some
Nigerians who seem to have lost confidence in the ability of CBN
governor and the minister of finance to salvage the nation’s currency
are demanding that both of them be sacked immediately before President
Buhari returns to the country.
