How to Unleash Creative Brainpower

The ability to be creative in solving problems is widely distributed in the general population. All of us have the potential to be highly creative. Most of us only use between five and ten percent of our creative brainpower. We don’t reach our potential because of our attitudes, which have been reinforced at home, in school, and at work. Below are some statements of attitude. Indicate by using a circle and star to determine the best attitude that describes you: I must never make a mistake. I must never fail. I must always be right. I haven’t got the ability. I’m not creative. I have to follow the rules. I am expected to be practical and logical. I am not clever enough. If I am not successful, people will laugh at me. If I fail I will be chastised or ridiculed. I am too busy to be creative. I don’t like taking risks. I don’t like to play; problem solving is serious. I don’t have the resources. It worked before; it will definitely work again. There are

Buhari and Tinubu switch to campaign mode

Buhari and Tinubu switch to campaign mode The captivating picture of President Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu alongside two governors on Tuesday in the luxurious bowels of the presidential jet on the way to Abidjan sent a message to discerning Nigerians. The president’s message was clearly outlined in a meeting with the Nigerian community in Abidjan that night. Noting the presence of the two governors, the president said: President Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) “I came along with them so that…when you are going to meet the rest of Nigerians if you tell them that their governors were in the company of the president, I think that will be another vote for me in the future.” It was as such not surprising that the following day that newspapers were saturated with the report that President Buhari had made up his mind to again seek our votes in 2019. As with a politician desperate for vot

Confusion as Trump names Jerusalem Israel's capital

There are growing tensions in the Middle East as U.S. President Donald Trump is set to announce on Tuesday that the U.S. will recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu According to CNN, Trump is expected to make the announcement as he signs a waiver to keep the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv for another six months but says his administration will move the diplomatic mission to Jerusalem at some point, a goal long sought by Israel. Sources believe that Trump will attempt to soften the announcement for Palestinians, possibly, as CNN reported Thursday, by specifying only West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, as opposed to the eastern part of the city, which Palestinians want to claim as their own seat of government. It cautioned that nothing is certain until Trump makes the final decision. “The President has always said it is a matter of when, not if. The President is still considering options and we have nothing to announc

Paris Club refund: Court freezes seven accounts linked to governors’ forum

The Federal High Court in Abuja has frozen seven separate accounts which, according to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, were used by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum to launder the sum of N10bn said to be derived from the proceeds of the Paris Club refund. Justice Gabriel Kolawole directed on Wednesday that the freezing order would last for 45 days within which the EFCC must either institute charges in respect of the transactions against the relevant suspects or apply to the court for an extension of the order. The judge also gave seven days to the account owners, if interested in seeking the setting aside of the freezing order, to file an application which must be served on the EFCC. The frozen accounts are  0002184449 with Jaiz Bank Plc and operated by HAD Properties Limited; 0025600864 with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and operated by Hassan Ahmed Danbaba; as well as 0005892453 with Access Bank Plc and operated by Melrose General Services Coy. The ugly truth behind Saudi Arabia's love for Melania Trump

Image
Donald Trump's first major trip overseas may be fraught with diplomatic land mines for the President, but the Trump administration can at least comfort itself with the clear hit that Melania Trump has been with the Saudi press. The fact that Melania is communicating with the media and the public in Saudi Arabia -- mainly through what Saudi news reports have deemed her " classy and conservative " fashion choices -- works well in the notoriously anti-woman kingdom. Her intense appeal makes sense, considering the first lady represents so much that Saudi citizens find familiar and can relate to, especially visually. Melania walks behind her husband, is quiet and reserved, does not make obvious demands (at least not ones we can hear), and most importantly, she looks beautiful and polished. All of that should come as no surprise, given whom Melania is married to. After all, how the Saudi government likes women to behave is similar to how Donald Trump has said
