Court unfreezes Patience Jonathan’s 16 accounts The court unfreezes Patience Jonathan’s accounts as the 90 days ultimatum for EFCC to inspect the bank accounts had lapsed Six months after temporary freezing, The  Federal High Court  sitting in  Abuja  has ordered that the 16 frozen bank accounts owned by former President,  Goodluck Jonathan ’s wife, Patience Jonathan be unfrozen. The trial judge, Binta Nyako, gave the directive on Tuesday – having frozen the accounts since May 30. Patience’ accounts were frozen as a result of a suit filed by the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission  (EFCC). The commission was given 90 days to carry out its investigation on the said accounts. Seven of the sad accounts are in Diamond Bank Plc, Five are with Skye Bank Plc, and the rest four accounts are with Union Bank Plc, First Bank Plc, Ecobank and Zenith Bank Plc. Slave Trade: 144 Nigerians return from Libya

More Nigerians repatriated from Libya. No fewer than 144 Nigerians have returned to Nigeria from  Libya  through a chartered Buraq Airlines aircraft on Tuesday as some government agencies received them at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 6:45 pm. From Naija News , it was  gathered that they were provided aid back home by the International Organisation for Migration, (IOM), and the European Union (EU). The Lagos State Governor’s wife Bolanle Ambode, who represented the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, was present at the airport to receive them. The South West Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Suleiman Yakubu, said the returnees were 97 men, 39 women, two children and six infants. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also present at the airport, commended the IOM for facilitating their return. Corps member, lover quarantined for monkey pox in Benue Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Cecilia Ojabo, has said that a 20-year-old corp member (names withheld) has been quarantined for exhibiting symptoms of monkey pox. The commissioner who spoke with our correspondent on the update of the suspected victim of monkey pox discovered in Gboko early November said a corp member who was the victim’s lover also showed similar symptoms that led to his being quarantined. She explained that the result of the blood samples of the Gboko victim of monkey pox was received a few days ago and tested positive to other viral infections. While giving details of the possible area the victim contacted the monkey pox from, the commissioner said the victim’s lover, who was a driver from Lagos, had visited and slept with the lady before she showed the symptoms.
