Igbo should expect Biafra without gunshot – Uwazuruike

The founding father of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, and the Biafra Independent Movement, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has assured members of the group to expect the creation of Biafra Republic without violence. He also assured that the 19th anniversary celebration of the Biafra independence will be a non-violent one. The celebration is billed to take place on September 13, 2018 in all the zones of MASSOB in the entire Southeastern and South southern states. Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has assured aspirants to elective positions in 2019 general elections of level-playing ground in the primaries to be conducted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He gave the assurance while receiving former Governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Atihiru Bafarawa, on Friday in his office in Yenagoa. Jonathan said that with a free and fair primary election, any aspirants that lost would not be aggrieved but would support others for the progress of the party. Alhaji Sule Lamido, former Jigawa State governor has advised the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to reward faithful members while picking its candidate for the 2019 general elections. The Berom Educational and Cultural Education (BECO) has called on the government and security operatives to fish out the killer herdsmen who carried the recent attack that claimed the lives of 10 persons including a pastor and his family members. BECO equally said they have lost 20 persons and over 225 farms destroyed alongside crops in the past three weeks. They added that nobody will forced them out of their God-given land and territory through conquest. Ogbonna, while confessing to the police, claimed he joined the Black Axe confraternity in 2014 and has killed three persons since his initiation into the cult.
