President Buhari's supporters flood Abuja major roads with posters
Supporters of
President Muhammadu Buhari have expressed solidarity with him by posting
hundreds of posters of the president along major roads in the Federal
Capital Territory, Abuja.
The posters with the message ‘PMB WE TRUST’ can be sighted on major roads and bridges across the FCT.
The
posters surfaced this week apparently to diffuse the tension that
enveloped the country following rumours about the president’s
ill-health.
The posters can also be sighted
at major bus-stops, market places, public arenas, round-about and other
popular places in the city.
Areas where these posters can be seen are the AYA round-about, Utako, Berger round-about, Wuse and Airport road.
It
is not clear the exact group responsible for the posters, but those
responsible have clearly shown their support for the president.
Meanwhile, there were reports earlier this week that if all things go as planned, President Buhari would return to Nigeria from his vacation to the United Kingdom this Saturday, February 11.
A senior official in the presidency, who spoke in confidence with newsmen, simply said: “Barring any last minute change, we are expecting the president back this weekend, probably on Saturday.”
