Despite pictures, Buhari’s London whereabouts remains a mystery
Although President Muahammdu Buhari is said to be in London, his whereabouts in the European city has remained a mystery.
This
is according to a report by International Business Times (IBTimes UK)
which visited the London mansion reportedly housing the Nigerian
president.
In the report, IBTimes notes that
the media outfit was unable to ascertain the presence of President
Buhari in London after it turned up empty following a visit to the Abuja
House at Holland Park in west London.
The
staff at the Abuja House were said to have refused to provide any
updates on Buhari's his health when IBTimes UK tried to find out more
about the president’s progress.
"We
cannot give any information, the only way to find out more about Buhari
is through the High Commission because they are the only people who can
disclose any information," an unidentified source at the Abuja House said.
The source also declined to
comment on Buhari's whereabouts on Friday morning and the media outfit
was unable to reach the Nigeria High Commission for comments.
IBTimes
however did not say if President Buhari had been earlier seen in London
and it only wanted to confirm that he is still in the city or if he was
never seen there.
This report comes just about 24 hours after pictures emerged of President Muhammadu Buhari receiving leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in London, UK.
Chief Bisi Akande and Chief Bola
Tinubu paid a visit to President Buhari on Thursday, February 9 which
confirms the president is alive.
Meanwhile, Sahara Reporters is reporting that there might be a rift between aides to President Muhammadu Buhari and the president's doctors.
It is alleged that the rift is over a possible return of the President this Saturday, February 11.
