Scaling Through Endurance
Once, there lived in the animal kingdom-gorilla, tortoise, lion, chimpanzee, grasscutter, monkey, zebra, dog, elephant, goat, cow and so no.
However, there was need for a king, to rule the kingdom. So all the animals assembled themselves in the village square to discuss on how to choose a king. The animals unanimously concluded that the king must be strong, good, honest and have endurance. As a means to determine who is fit for the kingship, they agreed that hot-peppered soup will be prepared and all the animals will taste it. And that anybody who did not do sshuuuuum will be the king.
Expectedly, the appointed day came, all the animals gathered back in the village square to eat the soup with too much pepper. The first animal came, tasted it and did shhuuuuum. Gorilla came and also did shhuuuuum, same also did the lion and the rest of the animals. But there was one animal that refused to submit to the pain and hotness of the soup. He used a style unknown to other animals to overcame it. That is tortoise. So when it was tortoise turn, he came out and licked the soup. Immediately, he shouted in pretence, dog did shhuuuuum, monkey did shhuuuuum, lion did shhuuuum. While licking the soup, he continued in his cunning way until he finished the soup. All the animal were surprised. And he was made the king of the animals.
Wonderful, smart and very cunning is tortoise.
