The Nigerian Army has intercepted a Nissan bus with 20 occupants along Nasarawa-Abuja road while conducting a routine check.
eagleee.com gathered that the occupants on interrogation, claimed they were hunters from Adamawa on transit to Abuja for national hunters association scheduled to take place today, Saturday, July 28.
The director army public relations, Brigadier General, Texas Chukwu, in a statement on Saturday, July 28, said that the army intercepted 17 locally made gun, 135 cartridges and two locally made pistols.
The statement read: "The Nigerian Army has intercepted a Nissan bus with 20 occupants along Nasarawa - Abuja road while conducting a routine check.
"The occupants on interrogation, claimed they were hunters from Adamawa on transit to Abuja for National Hunters Association scheduled to take place today, Saturday 28 July 2018.
"Items recovered include: 17 locally made guns, 135 Cartridges, two locally made pistols, one locally made knife, three cutlasses, one bow and 38 Arrows, assorted charms, preliminary investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be handed over to the appropriate authority on completion.
