Friend Betray Friends

Once upon a time, there was a serious famine in the animal kingdom which caused the death of most animals. Eventually, this tragedy extended beyond the imagination of the animals. At a point the leaders of the animals met to sort for a way to remedy themselves from this unforeseen incident. But all effort proved abortive.
meanwhile, there were certain friends who were able to find means of surviving. On one certain day, Tortoise and his two friends Rooster and Squirrel went out in search of food. After so much effort which they wasted in the past, came across a garden. The garden was full of fresh CLOVER. It was like a dream. The three friends tried to wakeup from dream but couldn't because it wasn't a dream. With a gesture of surprise tortoise breathed down like someone who have been relieved of a death sentence.
And the three friends looked at each other and smiled. Rooster without hesitation gave three o'clock crow. They then match down to behold what fortune had for them. For in the mist of death fortune had smiled on them. It was not long and the three friends were standing in the middle of the clovers.
Hmmm, in the next minute the three friends have satisfied their hungry nature with fresh clovers.
Thence the decided to go home after they have unanimously agreed not to let anyone know about it. But the hungry and greedy tortoise could not sleep in the night for the thought of the clover. Before their agreed time tortoise woke up, went and ate all the clover. He walked like a lifeless animal into his chamber with clover scattered around him.
In the morning squirrel and rooster his friends came to wake him so that they could go and eat their precious clover but tortoise couldn't answer them loud enough because he has over fed himself. His two friends decided to go but when they got there,all the clover had disappeared. They wondered what could have happened to their precious clover but the silent air could not answer their hungry question.
So they went back to tortoise house to inform him about what had happened to their clover. Again they knocked continuously as before but tortoise couldn't come out. So they angrily broke tortoise door only to see all tortoise chamber floor filled with pieces of clover. Oh! So, tortoise it was you who ate up our precious clove but tortoise denied the allegation.
In order for them to be sure that it wasn't tortoise who ate the clover, the three friends decided to go to well of truth. Each of them was to jump through the well of truth, and anybody who is guilty will fall into it on attempt to jump it and stay in it for one whole day. So squirrel came up and said before the well of truth, "if I ate up the clover let the well swallow me, but if I didn't let me jump pass". Then he jumped across it. Rooster came up, said the same thing and jumped across it. But when tortoise jumped, he fell inside the well of truth. What a betrayal!!!
